The food was amazing. The portion size was more than enough. The flavors were definitely hitting and there. If you can enjoy a beautiful atmosphere without the alcohol it is definitely a great choice we enjoyed it.
As soon as you walk in the door, you can feel the love. Jonathan greeted us in a very warm and loving manner. The lunch buffet was very good. Everything was seasoned well and not Salty at all. His ribs were spectacular. I'm definitely going back because the whole vibe is entirely too good not to.
This place has great food and even better hospitality! I felt like I was visiting with family while enjoying a good southern meal! I ordered the all you can eat buffet and was not disappointed at all. This place is a must to visit if you are in Kansas City and want some good food from some great people.
Reserved their private room on a Friday evening for my daughter's birthday dinner with friends & fam, & it was a FANTASTIC experience! Some did buffet, some ordered individually. User-friendly touch-screen ordering system, self-serve soft drinks. Staff was welcoming, friendly & super-attentive. Jambalaya, sea-food boil w/ crab, fried fish w/ collard greens & homemade coleslaw? DELICIOUS. And none of us even got to the BBQ. Dang. Also there was a 2-piece live band playing mellow covers of some classic music all evening! Great food, great atmosphere, great music, great staff, I can't wait to go back! Cheers!
If you are craving Soul Food Cajun Creole, this place is your destination! I had the buffet Saturday night, and although I was hoping for a little BBQ on the buffett, there was none. However, the buffet did not disappoint! There were catfish and chicken wings with a variety of sides to choose from and all delicious! I will return to try the menu! The live music was on point and made the night out for dinner even more enjoyable! Well done, Jonathan's!!
Amazing staff! Food is incredible. Wonderful atmosphere. Jonathan (owner and chef) is so personable and eager to make sure you have the best visit possible. We will definitely be back!
Great food and welcoming atmosphere. We were greeted as soon as we came in and invited to sit anywhere. They had a lunch buffet laid out that looked great(mountain of crawfish), but we got entrees. You order on a kiosk and they bring the food out to you. The brisket was fantastic. Perfectly smoked and flavorful. The jambalaya was also excellent. I had a spice of 7/10, it was just hot enough to make me sweat a bit and didn't overpower the flavors. There was a drum set in the corner so they must have live music at some point, I'll have to go back and check that out. Definitely worth dropping in if you haven't been.
During my first visit, things were not up to their usual quality. Jonathan, the owner, is a stand up guy. Not only did he refund my money, but he prepared the meal himself. The wings were great! Cheese sticks were well seasoned, jalapeno poppers were very tasty and the mac and cheese bites were sooo good. Highly recommend! The vibe inside is great. They had jazz music playing. Looking forward to returning and being able to sit down for dinner, once we get back to normal. Thank you Jonathan!
